Vibrant Communities
http://www.vibrantcommunities.ca
Nov 2003 - March 2004
Canada
The workshop was adapted for use in an action research initiative on gender and poverty reduction. Focus Groups and mixed-gender workshops were held in six communities across Canada ( Saint John , Halifax , Trois Rivieres , Victoria , Surrey, B. C, Halifax , and Saskatoon ). Learning from the workshops is being used to build the capacity for gender analysis in Vibrant Communities community based poverty reduction efforts, to develop a set of tools on gender and poverty reduction, and to report on policy changes to address the gender dimensions of poverty. The project was funded by Status of Women Canada.
